Tim Breakspear has a commercial practice with a particular speciality in major infrastructure, mining, resources and construction projects. He has appeared in some of the most significant arbitration, trial and appeal cases in this area with dispute values up to a billion dollars.
He appears both unled and with Australian and English leading counsel, in major commercial arbitrations throughout Australia and in Singapore. He is an Approved Arbitrator by the NSW Bar Association and an Associate of the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration.
His Commercial List caseload encompasses a range of general commercial litigation including contract disputes, telecommunications, commercial leases, proprietary estoppel, misleading and deceptive conduct and strata title.
He is listed in the Australian Financial Review's Best Lawyers in Australia 2017 for construction/infrastructure.
